When you walk up, you’ll probably see the grill going right outside. That’s exactly how I knew my meal was about to be good. Southern Black chefs on a grill are my kryptonite. When you see them, you have to stop because that food is about to change your life.
Vista Vibes brings you soul food and live music with beautiful scenery to match. If you’re looking for a vibe, live music, and downhome Southern cooking, Vista Vibes should be next on your list. Enter and you’ll be surrounded by the gorgeous art of Majory Registre. She’s filled their walls with gorgeous chalk art of soulful, Black musicians. I’d take some time and just admire her before you leave.
The two bars inside are perfect for these social distancing days. They’re both large, with plenty of space to spread out. Plus the drink menu is vast and accommodating for all palates. There was a nice beer selection for my man with wine and cocktail options for me. And they don’t skimp on the alcohol so be ready and ask for water to follow up the liquor.
Make sure to catch a Friday or Saturday night live jazz performance at least once! The DJ is great during the week, but when the weekend comes, you’ll want to be in the presence of the jazz fusion musical selections coming from the stage.
