If you didn’t already know, horror is my jam! I love anything that gets you spooked, thrilled, and just a little bit on edge, so Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Instead of throwing a Halloween party this year, I opted for a smaller get-together with my girls.
We planned to carve pumpkins, listen to spooky music, and snack, snack, snack. I was so excited about this pumpkin carving party and wanted to add a couple of touches of spooktacular fun to the mix, so I created The Bloody Skully and put together the creepy charcuterie board to match!
Styling Your Cocktail
The most important thing about your cocktail is the flavor! When I was deciding what to make for my friends, I started with what I already had on my bar: 3 wine bottles and a 1/4 full bottle of tequila. Pinterest was definitely my savior because I had no idea what I could make with those 2 ingredients that would taste good but also not be too basic. I finally ran across some cocktails and realized I could add them both to some cider and make it a cocktail! My partner and I were guinea pigs and we both approved, so here we are!
Choosing Your Decor
Since we weren’t doing the traditional costume party for Halloween, I still wanted to be sure to provide the right vibes for the occasion. Halloween garland, skulls, spiders, gourds, candy corn, and orange tablecloths all played into the effect and made for some great pictures. Don’t neglect your space, even if it’s just for the cocktail table.
Need a snack to go along with your drinks? I’ve got the perfect charcuterie board for you right here.

- Stemless Wine Glass
- Plastic Skull Toy
- Cocktail Straw
Ingredients
- 1 Shot Tequila Chilled
- 1 Shot White Moscato Wine Chilled
- 1-2 Cups Apple Cider Chilled
- A Splash Grenadine Chilled
Instructions
- Pour 1 shot of your favorite tequila into the stemless wine glass.
- If you're looking for a strong kick, add another!
- Add 1 shot of your favorite Moscato to your tequila.
- Fill majority of the rest of the glass with apple cider.
- Add a splash of grenadine for color and sweetener.
- Use a cocktail straw to mix.
- Place your skull on top and enjoy!
Notes

- You can make this cocktail for 1 or many! If you're prepping for a party (like I was) grab your pitcher and the ingredients for each attendee's drink.
- Ex. 4 People: 4 shots of tequila, 4 shots of Moscato, fill the rest with apple cider, and a splash of grenadine!
- Add your skull last but don't plop it down or your delicious drink will splash! We don't waste liquor around here!
- I originally wanted to use eyeballs for this drink so that is totally an option! Just grab whatever you can from your local $1 store and have some fun.
