When Sunday brunch leads you to create a gourmet pimento cheese line, you’re doing something right.
Stacey West, aka Chef Suga, graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta. She and her husband, Robert, started selling Sunday brunch to try their hands at owning a restaurant. Along with amazing staple brunch dishes like chicken and waffles, their cheese grits became the main attraction. Once Chef Suga realized the love of her grits came from the love of the pimento cheese in the grits, she knew she had something great.
The Gourmet pimento cheese line started with Original and Jalapeño. They began selling out immediately at farmer’s markets, prompting them to create more flavors, including vegan flavors.
Now, I am not an avid pimento cheese lover, but I have definitely been pimento-ed by Suga! These cheeses are so good and come in such vibrant flavors. Who knew you could add pimento cheese to something that’s not a cracker? Not me! But now I’m adding their cheeses to everything!
