Smoothie King franchise owner Philip Jones has opened a new healthy spot right down the street from Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport. It’s the perfect addition to the Hapeville area that’s riddled with unhealthy, fast food options.
Jones may be originally from Chicago but has lived in Atlanta for over a decade. In that amount of time, it’s not hard to see that Atlanta loves our drive-thru restaurants. Unfortunately, very few of these establishments have healthy eating options which make staying on track while traveling especially hard. For this reason, Smoothie King has done amazingly on the South Side but it was time to bring in a newcomer with a more filling menu.
Chef Kelley Hicks, with years in the industry, is the mastermind in the kitchen, and it shows. Jones and Hicks put together a memorable menu of fresh bowls and sandwich wraps. Grab a bowl with jasmine or brown rice to fill you up, a salad to get your serving of leafy greens, or get a wrap for easy eating on-the-go. All orders are made fresh, in-house, and right on time.
Choose from bowls and wraps with chicken, salmon, or shrimp as your source of protein but remove either to make your selection vegetarian-friendly. More diet-friendly options are sure to be added as Grub grows in popularity.
Jones has plans to expand Grub Bowls across the city of Atlanta in the next few years. Head to the Hapeville location now and let me know what you think. They are open Monday – Saturday 11 am – 10 pm and Sundays 11 am – 9 pm.
