Yogis are highly skilled professionals who can teach you ways to channel your breathing, allow you to improve your flexibility, and focus on the postures you employ to negate pain. By heading to a local yoga class for a couple of hours a week, you won’t just see an improvement in your physical health but also your mental well-being.
Supplements
Often our aches can be caused by a simple vitamin or mineral deficiency. A simple cod liver oil tablet taken once each morning, zinc, iron, or even a multivitamin could boost your immune system and see your vitamins and minerals return to their optimum levels. Even if you don’t have a deficiency, there are other supplements you can try. CBD oil is also promoted as a pain reliever. Alternatively, you may want to include more natural anti-inflammatory foods in your diet, such as turmeric and olive oil.
Get Outdoors
While you may feel like curling up into a ball when you are in pain, you might be better off heading outdoors. Even though it may be a struggle, doing some form of gentle exercise, whether it’s a stroll or a bicycle ride, can help with pain management. (This isn’t to say that you should fight through pain and tears just to go for a walk. If it is difficult to move and causes excruciating pain, you should seek a medical professional for advice and treatment.)
Heading outdoors can also be good for the soul. Breathing in fresh air, venturing out for a riverside walk, or simply going to the park for a picnic with pals can lift your mood, make you feel more positive, and boost your mental health.
